Screening

It’s our reputation; it’s your safety, comfort and trust in us. Each of our CAREGivers complete a thorough background screening which includes five different types of background checks along with three personal and professional references each. Not only do we run a state mandated CORI (Criminal Offenders Record Information), but we also run the following checks: Social Security Skip Trace (with counties by counties background checks), Nurse Registry, Sex Offender Registry and an Auto Insurance Policy point check. Our goal is to do our due diligence so that you can have peace of mind when you use Home Instead Senior Care for trusted CAREGiver and home care services.

Training and Education

Home Instead CAREGivers have a dedication and a passion to serving our seniors. Our CAREGivers complete a thorough, multi-phased training program that helps them become outstanding senior care professionals. Knowledgeable and competent, each CAREGiver is asked to complete basic and advanced safety courses as well as senior activity training. You can be confident they will know how to respond to situations unique to their work. We also focus deeply on our client’s needs that have yet to even arise. Home Instead CAREGivers are skillfully trained to understand clients on such an individual and personal level so that future needs can be anticipated and addressed before even being asked.

Many of our CAREGivers have also completed a proprietary Alzheimer’s and Dementia training course. The George G. Glenner Alzheimer Family Centers, Inc.® specifically designed this program for Home Instead Senior Care CAREGivers.
